Storyville by The Juniors, 1953, First Edition
Item — Box: HS Student Publications Box 03
Abstract, Scope, Contents
Storyville was written by the junior class to be presented to the class of 1953 at the Junior-Senior Tea Party. Junior students, in honor of the graduating class, traditionally hosted this annual luncheon at which juniors performed skits about the faculty and senior students and the seniors read their “Will” for the school. This tradition is mentioned in The Daltonian as early as 1936 and as late as 1974.
From the forward -
When in the course of human events it becomes evident that time changes all things even at Dalton, then we the Junior Class consider it our repsonsibiltiy to leave a record for posterity in the hope that our present way of life at Dalton shall not be forgotten. Though we write for future generations to remember we realize that what they will remember will be in a large part due to the present Seniors. Therefore we dedicate this book to the CLASS OF 1953
