Item — Box: HS Student Publications Box 03
Abstract, Scope, Contents
Zonit was an intra-city private high school newspaper conceived by Horace Mann students.
From the 1972 inaugural issue:
A newspaper serving the major private high schools in New York City would benefit the students of these schools by giving them a new medium for the expression of the topics that concern them… 20 private high schools, comprising a population of more than 10,000 students, make up the circulation of Zonit.
The only issue in the Dalton School Archives is the first issue, which begins with an article about the resignation of Dalton School Headmaster, Donald Barr.
