“In Service” was the newsletter of the student and faculty Service Leaders group. This group emerged as a result of the 1997 and 1998 Community Service Task Force whose vision was “to have the Program become more organic to the community and to increase the educational benefits of participation in community service-related activities.” The purpose of this newsletter was to provide a venue for the Dalton community to share lessons they learned from participating in community service.

The Awful Truth was a newsletter issued by the student Public Affairs Committee. With the purpose of informing Dalton students about the “major goings on in the world... The paper condenses many items in the news today and often adds a touch of humor.” The newsletter was published from 1976–1977.
