Perspectives magazine was the 1994-1995 publication of the high school student committee, Another Perspective. From the first issue - “The magazine’s intentions are to open thoughtful discussions on issues that are often brought up with tension and hostility, promote open-minded discussion and offer diverse views.” Included are poetry, opinion pieces, memoirs, and historical essays covering issues such as race, identify, and assimilation.
The second issue is dedicated to Dalton School alumnus, Kathurima Mwaria, who was shot and killed by the New York City police on April 14, 1995. He was 25 years old and an employee of the school at the time of his death.
